How to Buy Your First Premium Cigar

1. Pick a milder wrapper first — Connecticut Shade is the friendliest entry point.
2. Start with a robusto size (5″ × 50 ring gauge) — manageable smoke time, ~45 minutes.
3. Cut just above the cap — guillotine or V-cut. Punch cut works on bigger ring gauges.
4. Light slowly with a torch — toast the foot first, then puff while rotating.
5. Don’t inhale — cigar smoke is for the mouth, not the lungs.
6. Take it slow — 30-second draws, every 1-2 minutes. Faster = harsh.
